Shadeland was proud to contribute to the newly developed Te Hau Awhiowhio Hauora Whānau Centre in the heart of Whangārei by supplying and installing 26 interior roller blinds. As a commercial health centre, the client required a solution that provided both shade and privacy for medical consultations and patient comfort.

Tailored Blinds for a Medical Environment

We installed mechanical roller blinds using high-quality blockout material in Dawn Blockout Ash Blue, a colour that complemented the centre’s modern and calming aesthetic. Some of the key challenges included:

• Large window areas: Some spaces required double-system blinds for complete coverage.
• Minimal gaps for privacy: We used naked joining brackets to reduce light gaps between blinds, ensuring full blockout and privacy.
• Diverse mounting conditions: The team installed blinds into concrete, timber, and steel window surrounds, requiring a range of installation techniques.

With a tight project timeline, our team worked efficiently alongside other contractors to ensure a smooth installation. Thanks to our expertise and planning, we successfully installed all 26 blinds in a single day without disruption to the site's progress.
