At Arvida Retirement Village in Kerikeri, our team installed a premium Ellipse Lateral Arm Awning to enhance both outdoor comfort and indoor temperature control. The primary goal was to provide shade over the outdoor patio while also reducing glare and heat in a sunhaven bedroom that opened onto the space through a ranch slider.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the key challenges was ensuring the awning remained both functional and aesthetically pleasing when retracted. To achieve this, we mounted it using soffit brackets underneath the eave, allowing the awning to sit clear of the gutter line. This positioning meant that when the awning was retracted, it tucked neatly away, maintaining the home’s clean lines and visual appeal.
